Our youth hostel in Bad Gastein is particularly popular with families with children: they enjoy the relaxed, laid-back atmosphere of our house and the excellent value for money we provide.

During the summer, families enjoy Bad Gastein as a diverse hiking and mountain biking paradise, in which fun and action are in anything but short supply. A particular attraction for older kids is the comfortable “flight” over the valley with the 300 metre long zip line “Flying Fox”, which is also open in winter.

Sledging and skiing are in high demand in the cold season. A large area for beginners and the coaching by experienced skiing instructors help many guests take their first steps towards winter sports fun. Beginners will find many easy (blue) slopes. A particularly long blue slope runs directly along the Stubnerkogel cable car, which can be reached from the youth hostel after a five-minute walk.

There is no place for boredom during bad weather, either. The Junges Hotel Bad Gastein offers a library, table tennis and a gym. The “Felsentherme” with its popular children’s fairy tale pool is within ten minutes walking distance from our hostel.

All of this is available to you in stress-free surroundings: at our hostel, nobody expects families to constantly admonish their kids to behave like adult hotel guests.
