Centrally located in Bad Gastein, our youth hostel offers rooms with shower/WC, lounge and leisure areas, and dining options, as well as facilities for cyclists, families, independent travelers, groups, schools, and seminar participants.

In our family-friendly youth hostel you will reside quietly, yet centrally – within the largest nature reserve in the Alps.
Free breakfast
Breakfast is included in the standard room rate. On request, we will prepare a packed lunch for you instead of breakfast. The terrace is a pleasant place to sit outside in summer.
Full board or half-board on request
You can choose between a room with breakfast, half-board or full board. If you book full board or half-board, you will receive a two-course lunch and/or three-course dinner from our kitchen specialising in traditional cuisine.
Coffee terrace
Should you feel hungry or thirsty between meals, we offer a cafeteria and a vending machine. Enjoy a beautiful summer evening or a relaxed afternoon on our coffee terrace!
We offer the Gasteincard
We are a partner company for the „Gasteincard“. This card lets you use various touristic facilities and offers at reduced race or for free.
Bike-friendly youth hostel
Our family-friendly hostel is situated close to the “Alpe-Adria-Radweg”. Cyclists can use a lockable bicycle room and a drying room for clothing.
Comfortable common room
Our large common room is the place to relax, to read and to enjoy meeting other guests in a pleasant atmosphere.
Excellent infrastructure for seminars
Two seminar rooms accommodate up to 70 people. We are also happy to help groups plan excursions and activities.
Custom-tailored outdoor programmes
We will gladly put outdoor programmes together for you and your group. Please book these directly in our youth hostel in advance.
Central location
Bad Gastein train station is just about 0.7 km away. Mountain lifts, thermal baths, and other local attractions — such as the zip-line offering a flight over the town center and the Bad Gastein waterfall — are easily accessible from the youth hostel.
Library
We offer avid readers a library with a large selection of novels as well as kids books and non-fiction books.
Luggage room
We will gladly store your luggage before check-in or before your departure (on request for groups). Luggage is stored at the owner’s risk.
Reception
Our reception staff is available to you daily from 08:00 to 10:30 and from 16:00 to 20:30.
TV room
We have two rooms with TVs at your disposal.
Infrastructure for skiers
Our youth hostel offers three ski storage rooms with ski boot dryers and a room for preparing your skis.
Internet / Wifi
You can surf the Internet or check your e-mails with your smart phone or your own computer for a reasonable rate. In addition, there is a separate room with three computers available.
Bed linen included
We provide fresh bed linen. We ask you to put them on the beds yourselves.
Parking
The parking spaces for cars right in front of the building are free of charge. The coach park can be reached after a five-minute walk (guests may be picked up and dropped off directly at our hostel).
